Chinese Methodist Cantonese Church
The 9-storey church consists of 3 stories for car parks, 6 stories for religious activity, and a basement tank. Pre-stressed transfer beams are adopted to give column-free space in the main sanctuary. Bored piles are adopted as the foundation system. The perimeter columns are located directly adjacent to the building boundary line. Strap beams is implemented to distribute the eccentrically loaded from column and restrain the tendency of the footing to overturn by connecting it to nearby footings.
